The winner of the Kamil Duszenko Award is Sebastian Giebel from the Department of Bone Marrow Transplantation and Hematology-Oncology of the Maria Skłodowska-Curie National Research Institute of Oncology, Gliwice branch.
We wish to congratulate Prof. Sebastian Giebel and co-authors of the publications on their outstanding work and wish them successes in the future.

Candidates can apply for the Award before 31st May 2020.
To enter the competition the candidate have to send the application form and copy of the work presented for the contest (in one of a form of their choosing, i.e. paper, PDF, or indication of the address of the website where the work was published) to:

Authors or co-authors of works or research studies from the field of haematology carried out in Poland or abroad, during the four calendar years preceding the Award year may apply for the Award. The works associated directly or indirectly with Poland will be recognised. This association may be manifested in particular in participation of Polish citizens in studies, authorship or co-authorship of the works; place where the research has been carried out; place where results of research has been published or implemented; place where creation, place of publication or defence of the thesis.
The Award is a prize of 40,000 PLN (forty thousand Polish zloty ≈ 10,000 EUR).

The winner is obliged to
deliver a guest lecture in the Institute of Haematology and Transfusion Medicine in Warsaw, and
deliver a guest lecture at the scientific congress organised by Polish Society of Haematologists and Transfusion Medicine Specialists.
Travel and accommodation costs are covered by the Foundation.

The first winner of the Kamil Duszenko Award is Maciej Szydłowski .
Dr. Szydlowski has been awarded for his three important publications:
(1) FOXOl activation is an effector of SYK and AKT inhibition in tome nLn.. signal-dependent diffuse large B-cell lymphomas (Blood, 2015)
(2) FOXOl Transcription Factor: A Critical Effector of the Pl3K-AKT Axis in B-Cell Development (International Reviews of Immunology, 2014)
(3) FOXOl is a TXN- and p300-dependent sensor and effector of oxidative stress in diffuse larPe R-cell lvmnhomas characterized bv increased oxidative metabolism (Oncogene, forthcoming).
We wish to congratulate Dr. Maciej Szydłowski and co-authors of the publications on their outstanding work.
The Award Ceremony will take place on 27th June 2016 at the Institute of Hematology and Transfusion Medicine in Warsaw.

The first edition of the Kamil Duszenko Award for outstanding achievements in haematology sciences continues.
The Award Committee has been appointed.
In 2016, the Award will be granted for outstanding achievements in the field of Cancers of the lymphatic system.
You can apply for the Award to be granted in 2016 before 28th February 2016. Please read the Regulations first and download the application form.
Authors of works or research studies in the selected field of haematology carried out in Poland or abroad, during the four calendar years preceding the award of the Award, can enter the competition. The works associated directly or indirectly with Poland will be recognized.
